Everyone at one time or another has probably played a real or virtual version of the game Labyrinth, in which you guide your ball through a maze full of obstacles and holes to reach safety. 3D Bio Ball HD for Android is Labyrinth--on steroids. This game will bowl you over with its stunning graphics and addictive gameplay.
When our story begins, you are just another Bio Ball coming off the assembly line. But your world changes when a robot named Bolt pulls you from your crate and gives you a mission: roll through the different levels and worlds to ultimately challenge and defeat the Mad Cucumber crew. If you accomplish this task, you'll save the world! But remember: The other 42 Bio Balls that Bolt gave the same mission to never came back, so let's be careful out there.
Be sure not to skip the Tutorial, because this game has more twists and turns than a Formula 1 race. Tilt your device to control the speed and direction your Bio Ball rolls. Pick up the coins and bolts in your path while steering clear of bombs, floating mines, moving blocks, holes, and other threats. When you've gathered up all the good stuff, you can take an express tunnel or be shot out of a cannon (!) to reach the next level.
If you roll over a light switch you'll be plunged into pitch darkness, which is very disorienting. You might even experience an earthquake and get bounced over the side, or roll over a button that will flip the whole board 90, 180, or 360 degrees. With six worlds and more than 100 different levels, there's never a dull moment in this game!
3D Bio Ball HD takes place in the cold of interstellar space. If you fall through a hole or off the board, it's a doozy of a drop. Don't worry: You'll get another chance, but you will lose valuable time and power. A clock in the top-left corner shows you how much time you have to clear the level. If you finish your task but don't beat the "par" time, you lose all the coins and other goodies you collected on that level.
If you see a crate like the ones at the factory, be sure to stop. It may contain a special power or other upgrade, such as an Invulnerable Ball, that will help you out. You'll have to buy these with the coins you've collected (check the top of the screen to see how many you currently possess). At any point, you can also visit Bolt's Parts Shop to purchase the various boosters.
This entertaining game is a joy to play for the amazing graphics alone. The objects are rendered in fine detail and the 3D digital effects--such as when you plunge through a tunnel to the next level--are thrilling. Throw in the stark backdrop of outerspace, with stars and planets gleaming, and you've got one of the coolest-looking games available for Android.
