If you've ever experienced that moment when your tires lose their grip and you begin to spin out, you know just how terrifying that can be. In Drift Mania Championship, that's actually the object of the game. Your head and your tires will both be spinning when you take on this exciting game for Android.
The key to Drift Mania Championship is a combination of pushing the limits while maintaining control. Drifting is the act of maneuvering a vehicle around corners at speeds and angles that exceed the vehicle's grip--a kind of controlled slide. But go too fast and your slide becomes Wipeout City.
Drive one of seven different stylin' cars and select from five challenging tracks. Start out in Practice mode until you get the hang of it, then switch to Drift mode for the serious action.
Points are awarded based on four main criteria: Line, Angle, Speed, and Impact. Line involves drifting within pre-designated zones. The line is marked by several clipping zones, where the closer you get, the more points you score. With Angle, the goal is to get your car as sideways as possible without crashing.
Of course, you will always have a need for Speed. Try to drift as fast as possible, but be careful--hit a wall or fly off the track and you'll lose your current combo score. If you complete the race within a set amount of time, the game awards extra points. You'll also get bonuses based on your overall Impact: entertaining the crowd and delivering an exciting performance. Make the fans cheer and treat them to the sweet smell of burning rubber.
Drift Mania Championship features stunning 3D graphics for a realistic racing experience. The app takes advantage of the multi-touch capabilities of your Android device, which means you'll have to rack up the miles while getting a feel for the controls and interface. You can adjust your steering sensitivity, use three different camera configurations, and even replay your best combos.
Challenge friends to match your performance by submitting your best scores to the global leaderboards for each track. The top 100 positions are displayed on the official Drift Mania website.
